I'm encouraging my son to apply for everything he can.As a young mom I had to put myself through college I wish some one would have informed me about scholarships. Suicide is not a disease, and it certainly isn't contagious. Suicide is the ultimate selfish act because those that take their own lives not only care nothing for their own lives, they don't care about the effect that it will have on their friends and families. Life is very precious, and to disregard that by sponsoring a scholarship to commemorate it is unthinkable. I'm not aware of any scholarships available for people that have been affected by suicides.
